Design Specifications:
Single Probe Design Specifications, Model LMA-n-a-b-c-d-X-Y:

The single probe design, although used primarily for acute studies, may be chronically implanted for certain applications. For chronic applications, customers may opt to specify the LMA without the Stainless Steel tube support. Most of the dimensional parameters that make up the LMA can be specified as shown below. The diameter of the Polyimide tube will depend on the number of wires (ie. electrode sites) and the diameter of the wires as shown in the chart above. For single unit recordings, the researcher should select the 12.5 µm or 25 µm diameter wires; when recording LFPs, the larger diameter wires should be selected.
